Bio: Hi, my name is Dawn Matthews, to you that means nothing. To the supernatural world the name Matthews is well known, my parents were famous hunters. They were the best of the best; their help was even requested all over the world. I sometimes went with them on theses trips; I’ve been to the UK, Italy, and Australia. Australia was where I was going to go to college; it was one man’s way of saying thank you to my parents.

All though I said ‘was going to‘, as in I never went. The week I was about to leave, a tragedy happened. My parents were killed. The news reported that it was a break in and my parents were unfortunate enough to come home at the wrong time but to us, the ones aware to the supernatural world, they were killed by something that’s not suppose to exist. We don’t know exactly who or what, we still don’t know to this day.

So after their deaths, the Order of the Lion, the oldest order in Crossroads and an order of hunters my parents led, was left to me. I was almost eighteen at the time, imagine facing a room full of men and women who some were half your age and telling them that a teenager was taking over. Not everyone remained loyal but many stayed after all I had been brought up in this world and had been training my whole life. I proved to them very early on that I was going to take this seriously, I sort of just through myself into working as their leader, it was a great distraction from the reminder that I was alone, that I no longer had parents or any family at all. I had friends of course but I had lost many, they all said I had changed too much.

Hunting was my family’s legacy, my parents, grandparents and great grandparents and so on were all hunters.
After my parents married it united two of the biggest hunting families.

I was taught from a very young age about all the different creatures and their abilities. Of course not all creatures are bad, there are many who fight along the hunters every day trying to protect the innocence. But there are the bad, the rogues that will stop at nothing until every human and anyone standing in their way is dead.

Enough history, I’ll tell you little more about me. I am a photographer for Masquerade Magazine; it was an amazing opportunity to get a job there.
Most of my life is photography and hunting, I don’t have too much time to do anything else. When I do have the time, I write. Stories of the supernatural world, it’s a way for me to get distracted and forget about things, forget about my responsibilities. And I like running, it helps clear my head when I’m frustrated.
I’m not a big fan of liars, snobs or those who are disloyal, and those are just to name a few. Of course rogues are number one on that list.

So in a short summary, I’m Dawn, a photographer, a hunter and the lead of the Order of the Lion.
