Nick pulled into an empty parking spot as close as to the front doors leading to the emergency room as possible; he got out of the car and slammed the door shut. He opened the back door and pulled Serena out; closing the door behind him he started for the entrance of the ER.
He felt sorry for her and slightly guilty, she hadn’t asked for this. To be put in the middle of his family problems. As he walked to the front desk a nurse spotted them, her eyes falling on Serena’s bloody leg “What happened?” she asked, motioning for another nurse to join her. “Dog bite,” he answered. From there they took her from him, Nick followed as far as they would let him before a nurse pulled him off to the side to ask him questions.

Serena couldn't really say she enjoyed the attention from nurses and doctors. She eyed the doors to the hospital wearily. There was something about being poked and prodded that she didn't enjoy. Maybe it was a cat thing... cats hated the vets, right? She pushed the thought away, squinting and grimacing. Her arms were wrapped around Nick's neck as he carried her, and her thoughts momentarily flitted to Annie. She couldn't see her from where she was, and once they got into the hospital, she had no chance in seeing the girl for a little while. The nurses rushed over, she wasn't sure if they were calling a doctor or not, but it didn't really matter, since within a few moments she was being pulled away on one of those silly little beds with wheels. It would be interesting to have one in her room. At least it'd be easy to move around if she ever wanted to switch her room up.
While she could hear them asking Nick questions as they wheeled her away, they still began to ask her some once she was in the room and they were beginning to fix up her leg. It wasn't really all that pleasant. Serena's eyes went large when they pulled out a needle. She hated needles. The needle on the end must have been at least a foot long, the fluid dripping menacingly from it as they filled it with some sort of medicine. ... Okay, it wasn't a foot long, only a few inches, but it still made her weary, and half-faint. They brought it towards her. ”Uhm... What's that for?” Her words were high and quiet, not at all comfortable with this. ”This is only going to pinch a little bit.” She was already trying to squirm away as they brought it to her arm. Two nurses held her still, and she slammed her eyes closed, turning her head away and jumping slightly as she felt the prick. ”This is to boost your immunity.” She really wasn't comfortable with them sticking things into her body. She could fight it on her own. Plus she had no idea how human serums worked on the supernatural.
”Can you tell us what kind of dog bit you?” The lady asked her, tossing away the needle as others fixed up her leg. Serena wasn't sure if there was something in the syringe, or if she was just undergoing too much stress, but she felt very weak and woozy. She wanted it all to end. ”Two... big dogs.” She said slowly, eyeing the nurse up. ”I'm not exactly a dog expert, but I guess they kind of looked like a husky?.” It would be easier to say that they were werewolves, but if they didn't think she was delusional, they'd think she were crazy. Sometimes humans frustrated her. ”How did they act when you happened upon them?” She paused, looking at the lady as though she were a little bit stupid. ”They attacked me. They growled and then attacked” ”Were they foaming at the mouth, walking with a gait, or have clouded eyes?” ”I don't know. They were two crazy dogs.” She was beginning to become nervous as to the direction of this conversation.
”You're not going to give me a rabies shot, are you?” She asked suddenly, sinking back into the fluffy pillows as though trying to back away. ”I'm afraid we're going to have to. While animal control looks for these two dogs, we're going to have to take measures to ensure you don't become more sick. ”They didn't have rabies.” At this point she was pleading with them, watching the needle they were pulling out with wild eyes. ”You can't know for certain.” ”I'm willing to bet my life on it.”
Words of comfort were lost on her as she was held down, her shirt being lifted to expose her stomach. The needle seemed even larger than the last, and Serena groaned, trying to squirm against the weight of she-didn't-know-how-many nurses and get away. She hated needles...
A few moments later, Serena lay there clutching her stomach in pain. It was like cramps, fire, stinging, and throbbing all in one. Hell came to have a party in her gut, and she wasn't enjoying it. ”We're going to have to administer this needle once weekly for the next four weeks.” Her response was another groan, and she rolled to her side, away from the door and the nurses. ”We'll let your friends come in to see you now.” 'Oh, they so owe me.' She thought, clenching her eyes closed and tightening up into a ball.

Nick stared at the white wall in front of him, as he sat in a blue-rather uncomfortable- chair in the ER waiting room. He had spent the better of five minutes trying to answer the nurse's questions about Serena. He had spent the last ten minutes sitting in the waiting room, watching people go and come, some people came in with the flu, and others came in with a broken limb or two. Some were worse.
Nick now bored with staring at the wall, took to staring at the ceiling. His thoughts wandering to his brother and sister who had made their appearance that night, the twins. Jamie was the worst of the two but Conner was just as bad. A nurse approached him, breaking him from his thoughts "You may see your friend now," she said.
Nick stood and followed the woman to Serena's room; she knocked on the door before pushing it open. She held it open for him and he stepped in, the door swung shut behind him and he walked further into the room. Serena was curled up on a hospital bed, he moved to stand beside her bed "How are you feeling?" he asked.

The door opened to admit someone, but Serena didn't exactly feel up to turning around. ”How do you feel?” It was Nick, and his initial response was a groan. Some could say she was being a big baby. Serena says they should pull their lower lip over their head and swallow it. If those people went and had a rabies shot, they'd be rolling around in agony too. ”I'm dieing.” She managed to utter, voice unimpressed to the highest calibre. Opening an eye, she rolled it over to better see him. Annie stood off to the side, decidedly quiet. Which was something Serena found strange. She seemed quite the talkative type.
Rolling over to better see them, Serena fixed them in perhaps the saddest eyes she could muster. ”Can you guys maybe get me something from the cafeteria?” Yes. She had just gotten a rabies shot. She had just been bitten by a werewolf. Despite it all, Serena couldn't hold back her hunger. She'd been hungry to the point of faint before they'd left. All of that shifting really took a lot out of her. Serena needed to eat and refuel. So, yes. Of everything she could ask for, she wanted food. She could be on her death bed and she would still be ever asking for food. Few things would ever be able to take her mind from it, that she knew was a fact. It was really a wonder she wasn't fat.

(OOC: I owe you an apology for not replying for like two months but I think this time I'll actually keep up since I actually have been feeling inspired to write in what seems like in forever. Again I'm very sorry for making my replies weeks/months apart)
Nick sighed “Fine, I’ll get you something to eat,” he said. “I'll be back in a few minutes”
He walked from the room, letting the door swing close behind him. The hospital looked like every other one he’s been to, which is not many. The walls were a pale blue color, an attempt to make it not look so dull and depressing.
After wandering for ten minutes he finally found the cafeteria. It took another five minutes going over the number of selections, trying to figure out what Serena would want. He finally chose a tuna fish sandwich, a bag of potato chips and a bottle of milk. He made his way back to her room, passing two men who had appeared to have been fighting on his way. He pushed open the door, closing it behind him “Here,” he said, handing her the food. “I hope you like tuna fish sandwiches.”

”Fine, I’ll get you something to eat.” ”Well you don’t have to sound to sullen about it.” She quipped quietly.
”I’ll be back in a few minutes.” And he left. Serena sighed. Oh, what a day. The idea that being a hero was sort of dimming greatly in Serena’s mind. The decision was firmly set: after Annamarie and Nick, no more werewolf friends. Period. No exceptions. Rolling onto her back, Serena stared dully at the ceiling. There was very little interesting about it.
Her stomach growled, and she groaned as though the very sound were slowly poisoning her. Finally, Nick returned, victory in his hands. Sitting up suddenly, Serena’s eyes fixed onto the food. ”Here, I hope you like tuna fish sandwiches.” ”Oh, there’s going to be no problems there.” A broad grin stretched her lips until her white teeth flashed merrily. There was little pause between Nick handing her the food, and the food being unwrapped, and the first bite taken. Even less time, it seemed, before half of the sandwich was gone, and she was starting on the other half. Her eyes were lolling in bliss, rolling back with heavenly praise as mayo-covered tuna lovingly stimulated her taste buds. She swore the very angels were singing for her at the moment.
A flutter of discontent flew through her as she finished the sandwich, but she was glad to see a carton of milk, and a bag of potato chips, which she happily helped herself to. ”Maybe going to the hospital was worth it.” She murmured, shoving a chip into her mouth while her cheeks flushed in joy. Oh, how Serena loved food. The idea of food made her mouth water, and she dampened it with another salty bite of chip. ”Oh, Nick, I love you so much right now.” She purred, lifting the milk and drinking heartily from it. ”So, so, so much right now.”
With food in her stomach, Serena seemed quite back to herself, despite the terrible wound on her ankle. In fact, she’d almost forgotten about it until she shifted in her seat and flinched as the movement pulled at stitches –or whatever the hell they used to fix it up. ”So, how was work? Did you miss me?” She winked, leaning bag with her milk carton –the only thing left with something in it, now.

Nick smiled, leaning against the wall “I’m guessing you love anyone who brings you food.” He was feeling tired, work had been exhausting which his job usually was and his run back to his car made him feel even more tired.
He closed his eyes, resting his head against the wall “Work is work, there was this one person who kept sending everything back every time I brought it to them,” he answered. Nick opened his eyes to look at her and asked her “How did your interview go? Did you get the job?”

”I'm guessing you love anyone who brings you food.” He remarked, and he earned himself a rather seductive looking smirk from her. ”Oh please, you underestimate me, Nick.” She purred, taking a sip of her milk while she suggestively waggled her eyebrows. ”I love people who do lots of things for... to me.” Her conclusion came the moment after her lips left the carton, and once the words had left her mouth, she ran her tongue along her top lip, getting rid of the milk-stache there.
At the comment about the person who kept on sending the food back, Serena grunted. Damn waste of food. She hated picky eaters, they were annoying as hell. Of course, there was also the more cocky bit of her that couldn't help but gloat that had she been working in the kitchen, the food would not have been sent back.
”How did your interview go? Did you get the job.” ”Oh! ... The... job...” She frowned for a moment, looking down sullenly. ”Yeah... I...” A grin broke out over her face, ”Of course I got it, who could possibly resist my charm and the pure awesome that is me?” She shrugged, pointing towards herself with a rather smug and prideful expression on her face before she laughed.
”So, I think in a few more minutes they're going to let me go home. Do you... would you like to stay and maybe drive me home afterwards? Or... we could go to your place.” Her tone was suggestive, questioning, yet at the same time withdrawn, allowing him the escape that suggested her words weren't quite as suggesting as they could imply.
((Wow, sorry for taking to long >.< Kinda went MIA for, like, a month >.< ))
