Name: Nadine Balakirev Age: 42 Occupation: Assistant to Doctor Lumbridge Play By: Crystal Renn
A bit about her: Nadine is Russian by heritage. She moved to the Americas at the age of twenty, mostly to look for work. I'll leave how she met Lumbridge to the imagination of her adopter, if they so wish. Basically her duty is to look after Lumbridge. She's a bit of a nanny for him, a maid, an assistant, and a best friend, all in one. While she isn't ditzy, per-say, she does often mix things up. Her English isn't all that good, and she's often mixing up words. For example: "Sir, would you like me to excite the kettle for you?" "Nadine, I believe you mean 'warm up' the kettle." And then, of course, comes her catch-phrase "Is what I say, why no one listen to me?"
I would very much like her catch phrase to be a prominent thing that's kept, if nothing else.
Now, I'm not exactly planning on just letting her be adopted out all willy-nilly. I would like a short (at least three proper paragraphs) little post in Nadine's point of view. It can be posted beneath this, and I will review it and tell you whether or not it's acceptable for you to take her character.
Some things that should be made clear before hand: 1) I am not planning on exactly playing Doctor Lumbridge any time soon, and neither Doctor Lumbridge nor Nadine are actually in Crossroads yet. They are both in Nevada. 2) She would listen, to a point, to what Doctor Lumbridge asks her. She is his friend, yes, and would give him advice and such, but I want it to be made clear that she doesn't boss him around. She's just the assistant, not the Doctor . It would be acceptable for her to tell him what to do in the house. For example, snapping at him to take his shoes off in the living room, or telling him to eat healthier, taking away his boos. Things like that, almost take a motherly/nanny/care-giver role. There will be times that he needs to be corrected in his actions, so it's perfectly acceptable for her to do so. 3) She is not going to be going behind his back and doing anything. She's loyal to him.
I'm sorry if it seems a little bit unreasonable, or weird, but I'm just thinking up certain situations that have happened that I know of on different role-plays and such. I don't want to restrict too much, but at the same time, I don't want someone taking her and completely perverting her base character, which can often happen. I'm going to be being a little bit strict on who I accept to be her, and I will exercise my right to keep her character if whoever adopts her goes inactive. She will not be deleted, but will go back up for adoption (unless she's dead). When she is in-between "owners", per-say, she will be used as an NPC, and will be in my posts and be god-modded. The moment she is adopted, however, I will no longer control her actions.
Also, having an extra sample post or story linked of a different character, etc, may increase your chances of being accepted.
