Joseph walked into the dark forest carrying a flashlight and a folding knife. The flashlight because it was dark, being night and all,and the knife to help him hunt and feed or just make a small incision into an animal's flesh, drink and let it get away.He hoped to find something dead or dying he never really did enjoy having to kill what he would eat,but there was no supermarket aisle for blood. He had to smirk at the thought of that, that would make life easier though. Joey carefully used his flashlight so that he could see where he was going, but not scare away his food. There were many times he wanted to drink Human blood, annoying human bosses,Jersey Shore, the Carter Administration, annoying gang kids from the 60's,when rap music was invented, when Twilight was written... However human blood tended to be extremely addictive to the point of murdering Humans and cover-blowing.He took a quick look with his flashlight and saw a rather big dead deer.Score! He made a slit on the deer and started drinking when he saw a man a little ways away that he recognized as another vampire. He wondered what he was doing when he managed to make out another man on the ground in front of the first, drunk and unconscious. He wiped his mouth and crept up closer to the other vampire trying not to draw attention to himself.
On closer inspection, the other vampire somehow appeared to be conflicted and doubtful. He must be a new one, wonder if the person who turned him left him to his own devices. Joseph suddenly felt a twang of sympathy for the new vampire. He walked up to him in plain sight and said,"I know you need to do this",he gestured to the man,"But you don't,come on I found a dead deer."

Jason stalked into the forest as he searched for food. His desire is for an animal, like a deer or small animals, for the source of blood. His nose sniffed the air as he walk deeper into the forest. His vampire eyes blink as he watch for any signs of prey that will satisfy his need for blood.
His legs softly met the dry, dead leaves which barely any noises as he keep on advancing. Jason is only 5 weeks old and yeah, food can be a pain to find in the forest or city. He was a friendly, talkative mortal that worked with a bunch of others everyday. Now, ever since a vampire attacked him and fed him. Well, he has to say that his creator was kind to talk to him and help him with his first feeding before vanishing. Jason sniffed the air again as he kept on walking. Finally a smell rafted his head. (Human?!) he thought a bit surprised. The almost, new vampire advanced toward a drunk man who is easily unconscious with a beer bottle still in the man's hand. Jason paused as he leaned down to sniff the man with interest as the yearning quickly shouted at him, to dig into the man's throat with his vampire fangs.
Licking his fangs with hunger, Jason stood up as he smelled another being nearby. His golden-brown eyes looked around before seeing Joseph coming closer to him. A nature, likely part of the vampire's instinct, did a soft, angry hiss at the approaching Joseph. Jason's body started to stand in a protection stance that leaned over the drunk mortal. Jason fought for control, over his body, and easily made his head shake, back and forth, as he tried to stop his strange behavior. "Oh, dang. I did not mean that to...to hiss at you." he fumbled as he apologized, before muttering about being a vampire. "My new instinct short of took control over my real behavior." he sighed as he looked at the drunk man that lay down before him. "This poor mortal was, ultimately, about to become my meal of the night. If, you did not step in at the right moment." Jason gritted his teeth that showed that his fangs are out. The fangs glistened in the moonlight as Jason softly nudged the man who moaned back. The vampire shrugged his strong shoulders before walking toward Joseph. "I never want to feed on a man that is not seen as a threat to me." he said as he walked over to the deer. His eyes blinked before looking at Joseph, "May I?" he asked politely as he eyed the blood that is dripping out of the wound, that Joseph made with his knife.

Joseph was relieved that the younger vampire was willing to listen to him.He thought that maybe Jason was alone,no coven,no maker to guide him,no guidance or help.He suddenly felt bad for him,it was wrong to go on a killing spree, but the new vampire was just was trying to control his impulses all on his own and failing. He snapped out of his train of thought to hear a question."Go ahead",he smiled. He gently yanked the human a little ways just in case and returned.
He sat down and realized his hat had fell off and carefully tried to discern his hat from the darkness, trouble was it was black. He didn't want to shine light in the new vampire's eyes,so he didn't use a flashlight, finally he managed to make out a shape near the deer and immediately when to it and brighten. It was his hat! Joseph gleefully placed it on his head and drew his attention to the other vampire,he seemed nice enough, even if he did seem to have an odd manner of speech. He wondered how to bring up the subject of the other man's transformation into a vampire."So,are you new to this?",he said gesturing at the blood of the deer.

Jason blinked as he heard the reply and nodded a thanks before biting into the deer's cut. The blood spurted into his mouth as he bit into the deer. He sort of sighed as he gulped down the blood. It made him relax and after 5 minutes he took away his mouth from the body. His sharpened, golden eyes blinked at Joseph as Jason licked his lips clean.
The newborn vampire stood up from his kneeling position and said, "Well, been a vampire nearly a week." he told the older vampire. "My name is Jason Weston." he smiled politely as he sat on a nearby stump a tree. Jason also knows that Joseph has been a vampire for a bit of time and slowly gazed up at the waning moon at is the only light source in the forest. Also, Jason felt sort of happy that vampires can see better at night then mortal humans can. One bad thing is, that vampires hate the sunlight and Jason misses seeing the sunsets and sunrises of the daytime.

"Joseph Daniels",Joey said smiling kindly. He wondered why the other man introduced himself by his full name.Even if whoever turned him isn't in a coven, not even a week isn't the time to be turning them loose.[/].Joseph never thought it was right to change someone's species, maybe teach them that they now would need to drink blood for the rest of,oh say eternity and shove them out the door.Turning someone with out guidance was about the same thing as getting a pet or child and then changing your mind.Only pets and children(except Vampire kids) don't drink a person's blood.
"You're okay right? You seem to be alone?",he inquired. He was genuinely concerned for the younger man.

Jason blinked as he rubbed his face with rosy hands. He used to look really pale, before he took in the dead deer's blood. The newborn vampire looked up from rubbing his face to blink at Joseph. His sharpened eyes blinked softly before he sighed.
"Nice to meet you, Joseph." he said politely before staring at the night sky before looking at the older vampire. "Alone, yes. I am a bit alone with my second life. My creator or sire left me a day in being a vampire." he finally said softly. He then stared toward the trees with a calm gaze. "I am quite alone in my new life. It's a bit hard to ignore the urge to bite into a mortal's neck. Anyway, I do feed on animals almost always. I only drank from a human...once." Jason sighed softly.

Joseph listened with sympathy towards the man's story, curiosity towards why he was putting blood on her face and the calm irradiation that comes from hearing tired cliches.Vampires hated cliches, particularly ones related to them. You never used the word "sire" outside the Vampires:The Masquerade games you played with tight-lipped friends so word wouldn't get out that you were a nerd.Only the new vampires or "novices" used the word "mortal"(with the exception of a few rogues),otherwise it sounded like you thought you were some kind of god and needed to be put in a home.
Joseph put that thought out of his mind for a while,"Are you looking into covens right now? You know, groups of vampires and other immortal beings that just hangout together as friends? Well, the less nutty ones at least."
